Built in 1992, this is the first plant in the company and just 13 miles away from the Starbucks Support Center (company headquarters) in Seattle. The Kent Flexible Plant is the only plant with three ongoing manufacturing processes, roasting the Starbucks and Seattle’s Best Coffee brands, blending Teavana tea and a flexible soluble line for Starbucks VIA® Instant.
Augusta is the home of two Starbucks manufacturing facilities. The Augusta Soluble Coffee Plant is Starbucks first company-owned manufacturing facility in the world to produce soluble products such as Starbucks VIA® Instant and many of Starbucks bottled and canned beverages.
The Augusta Roasting Plant is the newest addition to our manufacturing line and roasts and packages coffee for Starbucks stores and retail locations throughout the Northeast and Southeast United States.
Located 15 minutes from the state capital. Opened in 2008, this highly automated, just-in-time plant produces more than 1 million pounds of coffee every week.
One of the largest in the world and roasts over three million pounds of coffee every week. York is also the home of Starbucks largest Distribution Center, supplying products to Starbucks stores and grocery channels across the Northeast, as well as parts of Canada and Europe.
Has 400+ people onsite and just celebrated 20 years in operation. Nestled in Carson Valley, 45 minutes south of Reno, 20 minutes east of Lake Tahoe, three hours east of Bay Area—it’s a great location! Over 1 million square feet in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Community is a really big part of this operation. We are split into different sections, but we all work together to really make this beautiful picture come to life. Without each other, none of us would be able to exist.

I have pride in my job knowing that every day that I come here, I work to bring the best coffee that I can to the small little town, to the big cities.

The thing about working here is that everybody believes in you. Everybody believes in doing better for you and bettering yourself. So, just being around that type of people, that’s what drives me to be passionate because there’s always opportunities to learn new things.
Culture of Connection
We say we’re in the people business serving coffee, and that idea is grounded in our plants. No matter the location, the shift, or the team, we value moments of connection with each other.
Here you create your growth journey. We believe in providing developmental support and experiences to help each other grow in our careers or to grow as humans.
